It was… SO GOOD!! I told my husband I didn’t want donkatsu because we have it available in Korea… but this is NOT the same! It’s premium, the side dishes are amazing… you get pollock roe with rice and some sweet potato(?) sauce as well as generous salad and miso soup. The waitress was incredibly kind~ she noticed I was pregnant and asked us to come back again in a few months after I give birth the food is worth the price~ 10/10

We arrived right as it opened. There was already a line, but they have a very good system for taking orders and waiting. They even brought us buckwheat tea to drink while we waited! We probably waited 30 minutes to sit down, but our food was basically ready for us when we sat down. The food was delicious. I enjoyed every bite of the small plate, and it was worth the wait because we didn’t have something else planned right away.

A delicious and interactive way to enjoy beef in Japan. The meat was juicy and so tender. The shop seats about 18 people so we waited about 40 minutes for lunch but it was definitely worth the wait. Will come back again!

We must come to Gyukatsu Motomura everytime we are in Japan, especially the branch at Parco tenjin which is right next to the train station exit. Always love to get the 2 cutlets (cos one is never enough to fill the appetite) and you can cook to the way you like it. There are a few sauces and you can combine it with or without the wasabi to provide many different ways of eating. Come early to avoid the queue. But it is certainly worth the wait.

We waited for about forty-five minutes, but it was definitely worth it! The beef katsu was so tender and tasty. The staff were incredibly friendly and worked very quickly, which made the turnaround process smooth and fast.

Great system when you have to wait for seats, we went to the other branch close by but the wait time was 1 hour at least. So we went to this one at around 5pm, we only had to wait for about 10 minutes!! Recommend everyone to go to this Gyukatsu!! Same quality of food.

Had a nice dinner with my daughter and we enjoyed the standard set. The beef cutlet was so rich, tender and delicious, that it was melt in your mouth. You choose how long to grill it over the hot plate and you can pair it with the sauce, mustard or wasabi. Be warned that ordering two cutlets may be an overkill for small eaters, as the richness might become abit cloying about half way through. Thankfully the sauces, ice cold tea and hot soup are all there to help wash it all down. The grated yam paste goes well with the barley rice (refillable) and there's also mentaiko with a piece of mochi to complete the meal. 5 stars for the experience and food. Price is comparatively high for food in fukuoka, but it is very hard to get this quality of food anywhere else in the world for this price!

This literal hidden gem of a dining experience is nestled deep within the sublevel shops and stores within Tenjin Station. It’s not exactly in Parco but it’s near/below the actual store. The place is cute and tight, the line starts even before they open - both locals and tourists alike fill the place up quick. Despite this, their queuing system is super organized and efficient, the serving time is ridiculously fast and of course, the food is fantastic. Known for their signature stone-grill barbecue, the meat can be customized to your heart’s desire. The cutlets and sauces are amazing too.
